• State to acquire Auburn land for major road upgrades (fingerlakes1.com) — Key Auburn roads are slated for major repaving and upgrades starting in 2026, with the state acquiring three small city-owned parcels to move the project forward. Auburn City Council is set to vote Thursday on the land transfer agreement that enables the work on the Arterial and Grant Avenue.
   

• Auburn signs ambulance deal with third town (fingerlakes1.com) — Auburn City Ambulance has expanded its coverage again, signing a $60,000 deal to provide EMS service to the town of Aurelius, its third Cayuga County town partner after Owasco and Springport. The agreement boosts funding for Auburn’s city-run service without requiring a dedicated ambulance to be stationed in Aurelius, even as about one-fifth of its calls now come from outside city limits.
   

• Child exploitation investigation leads to arrest in Cayuga County (fingerlakes1.com) — State police based in Auburn arrested a Cayuga County man after a months-long investigation into suspected online child exploitation, seizing a device that allegedly contained illegal images and videos. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop in the city of Auburn and arraigned on felony charges, following cyber tips from a national child protection center.
