• Bath lands $1M grant for rescue truck (fingerlakes1.com) — Avoca residents could see faster emergency responses thanks to Bath’s new $1 million state-funded heavy rescue truck, which will cover nearby towns including Avoca and Savona. The upgraded vehicle will replace Bath’s aging 2001 truck and is expected to improve responses to serious crashes, water rescues, and other emergencies, with delivery hoped for by 2029.
