2 Dead After Fatal Ocean Parkway Crash: NY State Police
The 2 were traveling in a convertible when they fatally crashed, police said.
TOWN OF BABYLON, NY — Two people are dead after their car crashed into the guide wire on Ocean Parkway on Sunday, New York State Police said.
Just before 10:30 a.m. Daniel Fabrizio, 58 of Smithtown, was driving a vehicle with passenger, Diane Seghposs, 58 of Smithtown, traveling eastbound on the Ocean Parkway east of Cedar Beach in the Town of Babylon.
The vehicle — a 2013 Custom Assembly Convertible — left the roadway and struck the guide wire, police said. Both Fabrizio and Seghposs died of injuries sustained at the scene, police said.

The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) and Forensic Identification Unit (FIU) responded to the scene.
