At The Libraries: Indian Food Tutorial, Gold Award Ceremony
Check out what's happening this week at your local library.

Our local libraries are a source of both knowledge and entertainment, with informational and education events being hosted throughout the week. Babylon and West Babylon Public Libraries often host these events for little or no charge, so check out the top five events going on this week.
- Head over to the Babylon Public Library around 1 p.m. on Monday, August 12 for "Adult Games in the Afternoon." Come meet some new people in the community and play classic board games – the event is free. Simply bring your own games.
- Noted chef Penn Hongthong will be at Babylon Public Library on Tuesday, August 13 at 7 p.m. to demonstrate how you can create authentic Indian dishes in your own home.
- Babylon Public Library will host a Gold Award Ceremony for the Girl Scouts of Babylon Village at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14.
- The Babylon Public Library will be showing Safe Haven (PG-13) as its Movie of the Month. The film stars Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough and is showing on Thursday, August 15 at 3 p.m.
- The West Babylon Writer's Club will be meeting at West Babylon Public Library on Tuesday, August 13 at 2 p.m. for all writers interested in a workshop.
