Bank Robbed In West Babylon; Suspect Ran To Getaway Car: Police
Police said the man handed a teller a note demanding cash, then fled to a waiting sedan on Monday afternoon.
WEST BABYLON, NY — Detectives are investigating a bank robbery that happened at a Flagstar Bank branch in West Babylon on Monday afternoon according to Suffolk County Police.
Police said a man entered the bank, located at 653 Montauk Highway, at around 3:45 p.m., and handed a teller a note demanding cash. The teller complied, and the suspect ran eastbound on foot toward a waiting sedan.
The man is described by police as white, in his mid-40s, with a thin build, bald with graying facial hair, and wearing a dark-colored jacket.

The Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit is asking anyone with information to call detectives at 631-852-6555, or to leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
Tips submitted through the P3 Tips mobile app or online at P3Tips.com may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000, police said.
