Police ID Missing Man Who Fell Overboard In Great South Bay: Cops

GREAT SOUTH BAY, NY — A man is missing after he fell overboard while boating in the Great South Bay on Sunday, Suffolk County Police said.

James Jaronczyk, 28 of Massapequa, was alone on a 22-foot Progression speedboat at about 4:33 p.m. on the Great South Bay when he fell into the water, police said.

Marine Bureau officers are being assisted in the search by Aviation Section, the United States Coast Guard and local fire departments.
