Steven Dellavecchia is challenging incumbent Michael Durso for the 9th State Assembly District.

LONG ISLAND, NY — New York State Assemblyman Michael Durso, who has served the 9th Assembly District since 2021, is being challenged by Steven Dellavecchia in the Nov. 8 general election.
The candidates:
- Steven Dellavecchia (Democratic Party)
- Michael Durso (Republican Party, Conservative Party)
In 2020, Durso defeated Democrat Ann Brancato, obtaining 20,549 votes to Brancato's 10,779 votes.

Dellavecchia is not running an active campaign, the Suffolk Democratic Committee told Patcch.
The 9th Assembly District consists of parts of both Nassau and Suffolk counties, including South Farmingdale, Massapequa, Massapequa Park, West Babylon, Babylon, West Islip, Brightwaters, and portions of Fire Island and the Great South Bay area.
