• Michael E. Bloom, 54, Canisteo (wellsvillesun.com) — A Canisteo family is mourning the passing of 54-year-old Michael “Mike” Bloom, whose sister Deanna lives in Bath. Bloom, a self-described jack-of-all-trades who worked in several area businesses before a disabling stroke, died Tuesday at home after a long illness. His family plans a later Celebration of Life and suggests memorial gifts to the Hornell Humane Society.
   

• Joseph C. 'Muzzy' Dicosimo, 92, Hornell (wellsvillesun.com) — Hornell residents are saying goodbye to Joseph “Muzzy” DiCosimo, whose burial will take place at Bath National Cemetery in Bath. The beloved barber, Army veteran, and former grocery store owner died Tuesday at 92. Calling hours are Friday in Hornell, with a Saturday Mass of Christian Burial and memorial contributions suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
