Alternate Side Parking Suspended on Sept. 26, 27

Parking meters will remain in effect.

Alternate side parking has been suspended for Sept. 26 and 27 in observance of Shemini Atzereth and Simchat Torah, respectively.

There will be no street cleaning, so it will not be necessary for car owners in the five boroughs to move their vehicles. Parking meters will remain in effect on the holidays.

Shemini Atzeret, is a Jewish holiday that is celebrated on the 22nd day of the Hebrew month of Tishrei. In the Diaspora, an additional day known as Simchat Torah is celebrated.
