Bayside Patch is hearing gurglings on Facebook that a few people will be converging at for tonight's total lunar eclipse.
The big thing about tonight's eclipse in particular is that today is the Winter Solstice — which according to Nasa, only last coincided with a total lunar eclipse in 1638, and no other time between then and year 1.

It will not occur again until the year 2094.
The eclipse begins Tuesday morning, Dec. 21st, at 1:33 a.m. EST.

It will appear a ruddy red. The eclipse totality, when the moon is entirely encompassed by the shadow of the Earth, will come about at 2:41 a.m., lasting for 72 minutes.
Nasa recommends that viewers peep out at 3:17 a.m. EST to see the most "fantastic shades of coppery red."
