The FDNY has extended the deadline to apply to take the Firefighter Exam until midnight of Monday, Sept. 19.
The exam will not be offered again for four years.
You may apply online at www.nyc.gov/examsforjobs. Or in person by visiting one of two Computerized Testing Centers: at 2 Lafayette Street, in Manhattan or 210 Joralemon St., in Brooklyn. They have provided directions here.
