Both businesses are by the Clearview on opposite sides of Northern Blvd. There are other auto related businesses along Northern that have parked vehicles on the sidewalk and that is not acceptable to the community.
All the civic organizations are asking for is for these businesses to be good neighbors and obey the law. Please be concerned about the safety of your neighbors. We are not trying to put you out of business or hurt your business. Sidewalks are for people, not for parking vehicles.

Thank you to the for enforcing the law. It is unfortunate for vehicles to be towed, but if it saves a life it is worth the effort.
Let's hope that the parking of vehicles on the sidewalk by any business will not reoccur along Northern Blvd. in Douglaston, Bayside and Auburndale. The community will be watching.
