is organizing a walk of patients, friends, family and staff to raise funds and awareness to continue providing care for over 4,000 children with complex medical and life-limiting conditions.
The walk will begin at Belmont Park on May 22nd, and will be led by several Grand Marshals, including five-year-old Jacob, who is a patient undergoing intensive rehabilitation and special care at St. Mary’s.
"Five-year old Jacob wears a permanent smile on his bright face and can always be found helpingwith chores, a favorite pastime he enjoys," said Jennifer Maharajh, a spokesperson for St. Mary's.

"Through innovative therapies and educational programs at St. Mary’s, Jacob has soared inmeeting many of his rehabilitative milestones and has grown to become a jovial, energetic toddler who enjoys running, laughing, jumping and dancing; activities that were thought impossible for Jacob," added Maharajh.
The day's activities will also include the New York AutoFest car show, with classic, custom, muscles and rare vehicles. Attendees will also have a chance to meet Team Jilli Dog, who St. Mary's says is "the World’s only poker-playing dog."

Free family fun day activities are to include face painting, arts & crafts, pirate-themed inflatables, henna tattooing, pony rides and a petting zoo.
