Queens Assemblywoman Backs Cuomo's Bill Expanding Tax Cuts For Seniors
The bill raises the maximum annual income threshold from $37,400 to $58,400.

DOUGLASTON, QUEENS — Assemblywoman Nily Rozic recently issued a statement in response to Gov. Cuomo signing a bill to raise the maximum income threshold for the Senior Citizen Homeowners’ Exemption (SCHE) and Disability Homeowners’ Exemption (DHE) programs.
“With housing costs in New York City steadily rising, I have fought every year in Albany to preserve and improve the rights of homeowners,” Rozic said in a recent release.
“I am glad to announce that legislation I co-sponsored that would expand SCHE and DHE benefits for senior and disabled homeowners has been signed into law. With the expansion of this benefit, I am confident that more of our seniors will be able to stay in the communities they have long called home.”
