Attend A Talk About The Nation's Oldest Theatrical Organization In Bayside
The president of the theatrical organization The Lambs will be talking about the history of the group.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — The Bayside Historical Society will be hosting a talk on the country's oldest theatrical organization.
The event will look at the actor's group The Lambs and will take place June 15 at 7.30 p.m. in The Castle, at 208 Totten Ave.
The Lambs' president — or, as they call him, the Shepherd — Marc Baron will give the talk.

The event will also give a look at the Bayside Historical Society's latest exhibit Behind The Scenes: The Actors' Enclave, Act II, which will transport guests 100 years into past "when Bayside was home to major producers, directors and stars of vaudeville, the theater and the emerging film industry."
The exhibit features photographs, news and posters from the '20s, as well as an imaginary dressing room for Theda Bara, a major star of the era.

Baron was elected the 35th Shepherd in 2013 after 30 years of working with the group. He is an actor, screenwriter, singer and director.
The Lambs, originating in London in 1868, was established in 1874 in New York City. It remains active today. Numerous members of the club have won Oscars, Emmys, Grammys and Tonys. The club also played pivotal roles in the establishment of the Actors' Equity Association, ASCAP, Screen Actors Guild and numerous other groups.
