Bayside Blood Donors Will Get Tickets To See The New York Mets

Donors at an upcoming blood drive in Bayside will receive vouchers for two tickets to see the New York Mets at Citi Field.

BAY TERRACE, QUEENS — An upcoming blood drive in Bayside is offering donors tickets to see the New York Mets.

All blood donors at Assemblyman Edward Braunstein's seventh annual summer blood drive in August will receive a voucher for two tickets to see the Mets at Citi Field, he announced Monday.

The first 100 donors will get a free pint of soup from Ben's Kosher Deli as part of its "Pint for a Pint" program, according to Braunstein.

"Each blood donation will help save up to three lives," Braunstein said in a statement. "Our hospitals are in need of your assistance, so I hope you will take the time to share this lifesaving gift."

The blood drive is Thursday, Aug. 8 from 2:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Bay Terrace Shopping Center at 26th Avenue and Bell Boulevard.
