Assemblywoman Nily Rozic said the International Entrepreneur Rule is "a goal that we should be enhancing, not rejecting."

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — On July 10, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) announced that it had delayed the effective date of the International Entrepreneur Rule (IER), federal regulation that would have allowed foreign entrepreneurs with financial backing to start companies in the United States.
In light of the announcement, Bayside and Douglaston Assemblywoman Nily Rozic released a statement in a recent release, stressing her stance that keeping the IER is essential to New York City’s function as “the hub of entrepreneurship, innovation and job creation.”
“Start-up visas attract talented leaders in the global economy — a goal that we should be enhancing, not rejecting,” Rozic said in the release.
