Bayside Man Busted For Marijuana-Filled Minivan In Massachusetts

State troopers busted a Bayside man speeding on a Massachusetts highway, then found 362 pounds of marijuana in his minivan.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A Queens man got stuck in the weeds Wednesday after state troopers busted him speeding on a Massachusetts highway, then found 362 pounds of marijuana in his minivan.

Bayside resident Alexander Kong was going 50 in a 30 mph zone when Massachusetts police stopped him along an I-84 off-ramp in Sturbridge.

Kong, 40, agreed to let the police officers search his minivan, where they found duffel bags, trash bags and cardboard boxes stuffed with hundreds of heat-sealed bags of marijuana, according to a statement from Massachusetts State Police.

Police arrested him for drug trafficking — and slapped him with a speeding ticket.
