Bayside Man Killed In Double Motorcycle Crash In Astoria: NYPD

A 65-year-old Bayside man died Saturday after his motorcycle and another motorcycle collided on 31st Street in Astoria, according to police.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — A Bayside man died Saturday after his motorcycle and another motorcycle collided at an Astoria intersection, according to police.

Stylianos Berios was riding a 2003 American Iron Horse motorcycle down 31st Street just before noon when a motorcyclist heading the other way on 31st Street slammed into him while turning left onto 36th Avenue, police said in a news release.

The impact of the crash threw Berios and the other motorcyclist, a 30-year-old man riding a green 2011 Kawasaki motorcycle, off their vehicles and onto the pavement.

EMS rushed both men to the hospital, where Berios died of his injuries. He was 65.

Police have not filed any charges in connection with the crash.
