BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A man was shot dead outside a Flushing deli early Wednesday, police said. Police found Fernando Gonzalez-Chavez, 39, from Bayside, outside 40-38 162nd St. shortly after midnight. The NYPD said he had been outside the deli when a man ran up to him, shot him in the face and ran away.Gonzalez-Chavez was pronounced dead at the scene.
