Bayside Mentioned As Possible Location For Shaq’s Chicken Joint

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — Shaquille O'Neal’s chicken joint might set up its new location in Bayside, according to the eatery’s CEO Josh Halpern.
Big Chicken CEO Josh Halpern told Patch that it’s strongly considering the Northern Queens neighborhood, and is also looking to expand in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
“We’re looking for the right franchisee for 2023,” Halpern told Patch. “We want to be in high-density, strip mall-type areas or drive-through-type pads,” he said.

O’Neal, an NBA Hall-of-Famer, is the primary investor in Big Chicken, which first started in Las Vegas.
Big Chicken’s only location in New York is in Elmont’s UBS Arena.
