Bayside Power Outage: More Than 1,300 Lose Power

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — More than a 1,300 ConEdison customers in Bayside lost power Tuesday afternoon, according to provider ConEdison. The power is expected to be turned back on around 9 p.m.

The area bounded by the Clearview Expressway to the east and Cross Island Parkway to the west between 29th Avenue and 41st Avenue experienced outages, according to ConEdison's interactive map.

There were 1,395 customers that lost service in the area, according to a ConEdison spokesman. The cause of the outage was said to be weather related but the spokesman did not elaborate.
