Center for Disease Control Needs Volunteers

Study would require subjects to undergo physical exam and interview.

Queens residents could be getting phone calls from very inquisitive strangers during the next few weeks.

The Center For Disease Control is doing a study to acquire statistics on the health of people living across the entire United States and Queens has been selected as a survey location.

The study kicked off April 25 and will continue through June 27. Survey takers will be calling around to find 399 people willing to participate. The study will include a physical exam.

This information will be put to use in both the public and private sectors to help learn the extent of specific health problems and risk factors.

The goal of the study is to help create programs and policies based on its findings.
