BAYSIDE, QUEENS — Bayside residents can weigh in on a long-awaited renovation of Captain Dermody Triangle during a virtual meeting Tuesday afternoon.

The NYC Department of Parks and Recreation's virtual scope meeting at 3 p.m. will solicit New Yorkers' thoughts on the details of the reconstruction project.

The historic war memorial and green space at 48th Avenue and 216th Street has been due for repairs since at least 2014, when then-state Sen. Tony Avella set aside $275,000 for the project.Issues included crumbling sidewalks, broken benches and dead trees and stumps.
