The pesticides, DeltaGard and Anvil, pose a low risk to people and pets, but some may experience eye or throat irritation or rashes. Those with respiratory conditions may also be affected.

During the spraying, people should stay indoors and use soap and water to wash any clothing and skin that may have been exposed to the pesticides, according to the Department of Health.
