'Dine In Queens' Deals Are Offered At These Bayside Restaurants

Get a three-course lunch for $14 or dinner for $28 at these Bayside restaurants through Nov. 2 as part of Dine In Queens.

BAYSIDE, NY -- There's something for everybody to enjoy during Queens' restaurant weeks, and many of those options can be found without even leaving Bayside.

Dine In Queens, an annual restaurant event sponsored by the Queens Tourism Council, runs through Nov. 2 and offers deals on special menus at some of the borough's tastiest eateries. During this two-week food extravaganza, participating restaurants offer three-course lunch and dinner menus for $14 and $28 respectively unless they say otherwise.

A handful of this year's long list of participants are right here in Bayside, whose dishes ranging from a hearty deli sandwich to Greek lasagna and pastries. Take a look at options throughout the neighborhood here.

Buddy’s Kosher Deli

Cost: Lunch or dinner, 2 for $28

Everything is homemade at this kosher deli, best known for its mouth-watering meats and sandwiches, a Buddy's employee told Patch. The deli, located at 215-01 73rd Avenue, has been serving up specialties like its hot pastrami and corned beef sandwich for 60 years.

Bring you friend, special someone or a big appetite to check out this Dine In Queens Deal. The $28 price tag includes any two sandwiches on the menu, two cans of soda, and an order of the deli's homemade french fries and onion rings.

Marbella

Cost: $28 for dinner

This restaurant prides itself on offering the most flavorful dishes from various regions of Spain, along with a handful of French and Italian dishes. 220-33 Northern Blvd. The elegant restaurant, located at 213-10 41st Ave., promises high quality ingredients, expert preparation, and beautiful presentation for each dish.

Marbella will go back to basics for its Dine In Queens menu. The restaurant offers a choice of soup or salad to start, followed by a main course of veal, chicken parmesan or salmon. Each dish comes with a side of potatoes, rice or green beans. Top that off with flan or ice cream for dessert.

One Station Plaza
Cost:$14 for lunch, $28 for dinner

Outdoor seating is a year-round option at this restaurant, which bids itself as "the newest bar restaurant in Bayside." The space at 213-10 41st Ave. has an outdoor patio surrounded by glass panels that make it look almost like a greenhouse, an employee told Patch. The bar will stay open even during the winter, thanks to the heat lamps its equipped with.

Not to be outdone by the scenery, One Station Plaza boasts a broad range of food options on its Dine In Queens menu. Dinner at the restaurant starts off with your choice of a mixed greens salad, butternut squash soup or pumpkin ravioli. Main course options, all served with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies, include, skirt steak, skillet chicken, crab meat stuffed shrimp and teriyaki glazed seared salmon. Pumpkin ravioli is also available as a main course, served with roasted cauliflower and sage pumpkin seeds. Make sure to save room for dessert: An apple pie egg roll, bread pudding with bourbon caramel or chocolate lava cake with raspberry puree - All served with a side of vanilla ice cream.

Outback Steakhouse

Cost: Lunch starting at $13.99, dinner starting at $19.99

Dine In Queens isn't just for local eateries, even big name restaurants like Outback Steakhouse can join in on the fun. This Outback, located at 23-48 Bell Blvd., came up with special lunch and dinner menus for the occasion.

Outback offers three-course dinner options at $19.99, $24.99 and $27.99 on its Dine In Queens menu. All start off with a house or caesar salad, but main dish options range from sirloin, to prime rib, to prime rib and steamed lobster tail depending on how fancy you're feeling. Top that off with either a strawberry shortcake or mason Oreo parfait, and you're guaranteed to leave with a full stomach.

Papazzio

Cost: 28 for lunch or dinner

This restaurant, located at 39-38 Bell Blvd., offers a unique fusion of Northern and Southern Italian cuisine. Papazzio is known among locals and customers from around the tri-state and is known for its generous food portions, according to its website. The Italian restaurant aims to transport diners to a trattoria in Tuscany with its redbrick sidewalk, old-fashioned lamppost lighting and deep red French doors.

The three-course meal, available Sunday through Thursday for lunch or dinner, starts off with salad, fried calamari, or mozzarella carrozza. Guests can choose from several main courses, including the restaurant's signature dish. The Pollo Tuscany is a mixture of chicken, sausage, peppers and onions served in a light garlic sauce over fettuccine. Dessert is your choice of cheesecake, chocolate Oreo mousse, tirimasu or pumpkin pie.

Souvlaki Square

Cost: $14 for lunch, $28 for dinner

This Greek restaurant, which debuted less than three months ago, will make its Dine In Queens debut this year. Souvlaki Square offers Greek dishes made from fresh, locally sourced vegetables, an employee told Patch. You won't find any frozen meats in the restaurant, which makes and marinates its own meat and cooks all of its traditional authentic specialty dishes and pastries in-house.

Lunch at this restaurant starts out with your choice of soup or a mini Greek salad paired with soda, coffee, or tea. Diners can choose a main dish from several options, including the Moussaka Pastichio. The restaurant favorite is a Greek version of lasagna featuring eggplant, chopped meat and layers of potato topped with bechemel sauce. Each lunch ends with one of the restaurant's homemade seasonal pastries. Dinner features similar main and dessert menus with the addition of either crispy calamari or saganaki as an appetizer.
