Douglaston Public Library To Close For 3 Weeks Of Maintenance

The Douglaston Public Library will close Saturday, Feb. 22, for three weeks of maintenance work.

DOUGLASTON, QUEENS — The Douglaston Public Library will close Saturday, Feb. 22, for three weeks of maintenance work, according to Queens Public Library officials.

The library, at 249-01 Northern Blvd., is expected to reopen on Monday, March 16.

The closure will allow workers to conduct a soil assessment in preparation for razing and rebuilding the library, according to Queens Public Library spokesperson Ewa Kern-Jedrychowska.

In the meantime, the Queens Public Library will provide a mobile library from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Thursday starting Feb. 27.

Locals are encouraged to visit nearby branches in Bayside, North Hills and Glen Oaks to access the Queens Public Library's full range of services.
