Douglaston Woman Fatally Struck By Driver On Expressway: NYPD

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A 50-year-old woman was fatally struck by a car driver last week in Douglaston, police said.

Yu Chen, from Douglaston, was crossing the Horace Harding Expressway, near Marathon Parkway, when a 46-year-old woman driving a 2004 Toyota Camry struck Chen on June 14 about 8:30 a.m., authorities said.

The driver remained on the scene, and the 50-year-old was taken to North Shore Hospital Manhasset, where she died, the NYPD said.

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing, cops said.
