LITTLE NECK, QUEENS — An out-of-control driver slammed into a funeral home in Little Neck Sunday, then her car burst into flames, according to police.

The 55-year-old woman crashed into the Doyle B. Shaffer Funeral Home at Little Neck Parkway and Northern Boulevard about 8:20 p.m, a police spokesperson said.

Her car caught on fire after the crash, which left a gaping hole in the side of the building, according to video posted by a bystander to the Citizen app.

Firefighters put out the blaze while first responders brought the driver to Long Island Jewish Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, police said. No one else was hurt.

Department of Building inspectors determined the funeral home's building was still stable, according to police.
