BAYSIDE, QUEENS – The Food Universe Marketplace location in Bayside will permanently close on Wednesday, according to a city notice.
The supermarket chain, owned by Key Food, will lay off its 54 employees, the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification said.
The location will close because it was bought by another person or company, the notice said.
