God Saved Family From Throgs Neck Suicide Crash, Man Says
Chris Gargano believes it could only have been Divine intervention that prevented his family from the out-of-control pickup up truck.

The man who took his own life while driving on the Throgs Neck Bridge nearly took several others.
Chris Gargano said he was driving on Monday night with his wife, 20-month old baby and 13-year-old son when he first saw a Silverado driving very slow on the Cross Island Parkway.
“Assuming he was drunk, I veered around him and really didn’t give it a second thought, said Gargano.”

About five minutes later, he was in the cash lane of the bridge toll, when the same Silverado—who’s 36-year-old driver had while on the road—slammed into the car to Gargano’s immediate left.
According to Gargano’s account, the Silverado then went halfway up the concrete partition, then slid back down to a stop.

Less than a minute after the crash, a police officer used a baton to break the rear passenger windows, which were tinted dark, to reveal blood all over.
“I was in the immediate lane to the right with no cars behind, me so [he] could have easily slammed into my car if he would have veered to the right,” said Gargano, who’s family was left very frightened after the ordeal.
“Myself, my wife and our two young children were nearly killed by that a**hole!”
Several other motorists were treated for injuries at the scene, according to a report by the Daily News.
“God saved us, I really believe that,” he said.
