Grocery Giveaway To Aid Northeast Queens Residents In Need

BAY TERRACE, QUEENS — The Chabad of Northeast Queens, Operation 5 Borough Food Drive and the Bay Terrace Community Alliance are teaming up with Acting Queens Borough President Sharon Lee's office to get food onto the plates of those in need.

The groups will distribute free boxes of groceries from 10 a.m. to noon Friday in front of the Chabad at 212-12 26th Ave.

The boxes are available to anyone in need, or to those who want to bring food items to a neighbor or family member.

Fresh Direct and the Office of the Queens Borough President donated the food items that will fill each box.
