Latin Restaurant Opens At Former Whitestone Italian Eatery Spot

Coquito Blu recently opened its doors on Francis Lewis Boulevard, serving up a menu of "modern Latin" dishes.

WHITESTONE, QUEENS — The site of a now-shuttered Italian eatery in Whitestone recently reopened as a Latin fusion restaurant.

Coquito Blu opened on Francis Lewis Boulevard near Willets Point Boulevard on Jan. 22, replacing The BLVD, which shuttered amid the pandemic.

The new eatery, which brands itself as a "modern Latin restaurant," is serving up a menu of Latin eats with a twist, like yuca fries with truffle and Nutella-flavored tres leches.
