The entrance to Bayside's Long Island Rail Road station on Bell Boulevard is blocked to allow for maintenance at the station. Workers are currently fixing up the roof on the station's platform, blocking off the staircase next to the Avon training center that leads down to the platform. LIRR riders can access the station across the street on Bell Boulevard by using the staircase between Atlantic Bank and Rani. It was unclear how long the maintenance work was expected to last.
