Locker Rooms At Bayside CUNY College Get $1 Million For Upgrades
The CUNY campus located at 222-05 56th Avenue, near Cloverdale Boulevard, joins three other CUNY facilities in fund approvals.
BAYSIDE, QUEENS — Queensborough Community College in Bayside was granted $1 million to revamp the locker rooms at the City College of New York campus, Queens Borough Presidents Donovan Richards announced Tuesday.
The CUNY campus located at 222-05 56th Avenue, near Cloverdale Boulevard, will receive the money for locker room upgrades, joining three other CUNY facilities in fund approvals.
LaGuardia Community College, Queens College, and York College also received funding for the 2023 fiscal year that will go toward building renovations, accessibility upgrades, and more, according to a press conference held at the CUNY campus in Long Island City.

“If we can’t offer our young people an unrivaled education right here in Queens, then we cannot continue to succeed as a borough," Richards said.
LaGuardia Community College will receive $2 million to expand training spaces for trades like nursing, while York College was granted $1.5 million for new keyless entry systems.
