Long Island Man Shot Outside Birthday Party In Beechhurst: Report
A 23-year-old man was shot in the stomach outside a birthday party in Beechhurst early Sunday, according to the New York Post.
BEECHHURST, QUEENS — A 23-year-old man was shot in the stomach outside a birthday party in Beechhurst early Sunday, according to a news report.
Long Island resident Christian Vitureira was shot shortly after 2 a.m. after during a fight with another guest outside a house party on Powell's Cove Boulevard, the New York Post reported.
He was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens hospital for his injuries, which weren't life-threatening, according to the Post.

The gunman had fled by the time police arrived, the Post reported.
"Who brings a gun to a party?" the victim’s mother, Jennifer Vitureira, told the Post. "Are you going to have a good time or are you going to shoot somebody?”
