Man Critically Hurt After Crashing Dirt Bike In Bayside
A man was critically hurt after speeding down Francis Lewis Boulevard on an electric dirt bike and crashing into an SUV, police said.
Update: The biker remains in critical condition but did not die, as was previously reported based on a police news release. This story has been corrected.
BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A man was critically injured Saturday night after crashing his electric dirt bike into an SUV, according to police.
The 27-year-old man was speeding down Francis Lewis Boulevard just before 9 p.m. when he slammed into a Jeep SUV near 192nd Street, police said in a news release.

EMS rushed the biker to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.
The NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is investigating, but a police spokesperson said officers suspect no criminal behavior was involved in the crash.
