QUEENS, NY — A man wan shot to death on a residential block in northeast Queens this week, according to the NYPD.

At about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, police got a 911 call of a shooting near 221st Street and 94th Drive in Queens Village, the NYPD said.

Officers rushed to the northeast Queens block and found a 37-year-old man shot in the chest outside a house at 94-55 221st Street, according to police.

First responders took the man to a nearby hospital, but doctors couldn't save him, police said.

His identity wasn't released as of early Thursday morning, as officials are still trying to alert his family, according to the NYPD.

Officers haven't arrested anyone connected to the shooting and are still investigating the incident, police said Thursday.
