Man Steals Over $60K From Bayside, Auburndale Homes: NYPD

The man unplugged Wi-Fi routers in two homes before stealing cash last month, police said.

QUEENS — A man stole more than $60,000 after breaking into a home in Auburndale and another in Bayside last month, police said.

The man broke into a home on 192nd Street and Station Road through the side wide window April 27 about 3 p.m., and unplugged the Wi-Fi router before he took $16,000 in cash, jewelry, and handbags, NYPD officials said.

Two days later, he broke in through the side window of a home on 192nd Street and 53rd Avenue and unplugged the router before taking $50,000 worth of cash and jewelry about 12 p.m., authorities said.

The man was last seen wearing orange gloves, cops said.
