Massachusetts Driver Arrested For Killing Whitestone Pedestrian: NYPD

Naihao Wu, 34, was arrested for failing to yield to a pedestrian, as well as exercise due care, after striking Genci Frasheri, police said.

QUEENS – A man from Massachusetts was arrested Monday after a 70-year-old man was fatally struck by a car in Murray Hill, police said.

Naihao Wu, 34, was arrested for failing to yield to a pedestrian, as well as exercise due care, after striking Genci Frasheri, from Whitestone, with a 2021 BMW on Nov. 14 in Murray Hill, the NYPD said.

The car hit Frasheri about 3 p.m. after it made a left turn from Northern Boulevard onto 158 Street, authorities said.

Wu remained on the scene and Frasheri was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead three days later, police said.
