Motorcyclist Dies In Crash Near Whitestone Bridge: NYPD

WHITESTONE, QUEENS -- A 32-year-0ld man is dead after crashing his motorcycle near the Whitestone Bridge early Friday morning, police said.

Cops responding to a 911 call about the crash at about 1:20 a.m. found the man sprawled out in the northbound lanes of Cross Island Parkway near Exit 36 with trauma to his body.

The man was driving his 2013 Triumph motorcycle in the area when he didn't properly navigate a turn and fell off it, police said. No other people or vehicles were involved in the crash.

Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

An investigation into the crash remains ongoing
