Motorcyclist Dies In Queens Yard After Crashing Into Fence, NYPD Says
The motorcyclist crashed into a brick fence outside a northeast Queens house and catapulted into the yard where he died, police said.

QUEENS, NY — A motorcyclist smashed into a brick fence outside a northeast Queens house and died in the homeowner's front yard, police said.
It happened about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday on Utopia Parkway near Jewel Avenue, according to the NYPD.
Thomas Hardy, 28, was riding along Utopia Parkway at a "high rate of speed" when he swerved out of the roadway and hit a brick fence outside someone's home, police said.

The crash caused him to catapult out of the motorcycle and over the fence, landing in the home's yard where he was later found with injuries to his head and body, according to the NYPD.
First responders rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors couldn't save his life, police said.

The Queens resident was the only driver involved in the incident, according to the NYPD, which is still investigating the incident.
