No Device Found After Bomb Threat Against Bayside High School: NYPD
Staff evacuated the building on Wednesday after receiving a call that a device was planted at the school, police said.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — Bayside High School received a fake threat of a device at the school on Wednesday, making faculty evacuate the building during the afternoon, the school said.
Staff evacuated the building around 2 p.m. after receiving a call that a device was planted at the school on Corporal Kennedy Street, police said. The NYPD was notified and no device was found after authorities investigated the building, officials said.
“All of our students and staff members are safe,” Tracy Martinez, principal at Bayside High School, said in a statement. “Guidance counselors and support staff are available as always to assist students as needed.”

Police said that the investigation of who made the call remains ongoing.
