Popular BBQ Food Truck To Park In Bayside Wednesday

Baysiders who didn't manage to attend a Fourth of July cookout still have a chance to get some barbecue this week.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — Baysiders who didn't manage to attend a Fourth of July cookout aren't out of luck — a popular BBQ truck is posting up in the neighborhood this week.

Smoak City Barbecue, a New York City-based food truck serving up Texas style BBQ, is planning to set up near Northern Boulevard and 202nd Street from noon to sell-out Wednesday.

The truck's exact location, which depends on parking, will be posted on the Smoak City Barbecue Instagram story by 11:30 a.m., the business said.

News of the truck's pop-up was posted in a Bayside Facebook group, eliciting superlatives from locals who've eaten the smoked meat in the past.

"The best bbq," one wrote. Another described the BBQ business as "the best food truck period!!"

Smoke City Barbecue caters events across the tri-state area, including in Queens, boasting a menu of meats smoked on wood burning smokers and BBQ sides — like mac and cheese and potato salad.
