Popular Japanese Department Store To Open In Bayside

BAYSIDE, QUEENS – Teso Life will open a new its next Japanese department store in Bayside by March 2023.

The 6,000-square-foot space, which was formerly a day-care center, will be located on Bell Blvd, between 42nd and 43rd Avenue by early next year, according to the lease’s broker, Daniel DePasquale.

“The demand is there,” said DePasquale. “Bayside has an increasing Asian population.”

Teso Life sells a variety of Asian snacks, cosmetics, and home products. The New York City-based company has eight stores across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens.

The department store has recently expanded to Texas. In addition to the Bayside location, five more stores are under development.

A string of new stores has opened on Bell Boulevard, Bayside's busiest retail and restaurant strip. Thai Social, Wild Fig Mediterranean, and Avli Kafe are among the boulevard's newest additions.
