Samuel Field Y to Host Summer Programs for Developmentally Disabled Children
The classes, which include gym activities and swimming, will kick off in mid-July.
The Samuel Field Y will offer two programs this summer for children with developmental disabilities.
The classes are aimed at kids between the ages of 3 and 5 years.
On Mondays, the Y will host Gym and Creative Exploration from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at its Little Neck site, which is located at 58-20 Little Neck Parkway. It will begin on July 15.
And, on Thursdays, the Y will offer Summer Sensations: Swim and Play at the Bay Terrace Center, located 212-00 23rd Ave. in Bayside. That program, which will kick off on July 11, will run from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Also, the Y will host pool parties on July 9 and Aug. 6 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Programs are $5 per family and snacks will be provided. Those interested in attending can join at any time during the summer.
