School Construction Agency Eyes New High School For College Point
The proposed 47,952-square-foot high school is expected to intake students by the 2026 school year and would include a paved parking lot.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — The agency that overlooks school constructions proposed building a new high school in College Point in an effort to reduce overcrowding in educational facilities across the borough.
The New York City School Construction Authority submitted a proposal to install a new high school in the location formerly belonging to St. Agnes Academic High School before it closed in 2021.
“The projected utilization of these schools are expected to be consistent with the trend seen in the projected overall utilization for all high schools in the Borough of Queens, and the proposed school facility would reduce the overutilization of the existing school facilities,” reads the proposal.
