Schools Open or Hot Cocoa

Morning glory, Bayside! How are your streets? Safe and passable, we hope. It seems the city has really stepped up its snow clearing efforts—or at least its monitoring of plowing—since the last big one.

Best with hot cocoa, here are five things for your Wednesday:

2. Remember, , so if your car gets stuck in the road, you're out of luck, they're going to tow you. You probably shouldn't be driving around anyway, they say.

3. Take mass transit if you can, and have to go out. Check LIRR, subway and bus updates before you head out.

4. Keep your car where it is, unless that's the middle of the road. There's no alternate side parking today. You don't even need to feed the meter.
