Serial Robber Hits Northeast Queens Bank, Steals $1K, Police Say
The heist mirrors a robbery in Forest Hills several days ago, which police said was carried out by the same person.

QUEENS, NY — A serial bank robber stole money from a bank in northeast Queens Tuesday, marking his second heist in the past several days, police said.
At about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, the man walked into an Oakland Garden Chase Bank, located on 73rd Avenue near Bell Boulevard, and passed a teller a note demanding money, according to the NYPD.
The teller complied and the as-yet-unidentified robber — a 30-something year old man who stands at 5-feet, 10-inches — ran off with $1,000, police said.

This heist mirrors a Friday bank robbery in Forest Hills, which police said was pulled off by the same person.
In that instance, the man entered a Chase Bank on Queens Boulevard and passed a note demanding money to the teller, at which point she handed over an undisclosed amount of cash out of fear for her safety, according to the NYPD.

The man ran away with the cash, and — as is the case in both incidents — no one was hurt in the process, police said.
Police included a photo of the man, but as of April 5 no arrests have been made and the investigation remains open.
