Series Of Car Break-Ins Hitting Northeast Queens Lots, Police Say
Police are warning drivers in Northeast Queens not to leave valuables in their cars after a series of break-ins at local parking lots.

OAKLAND GARDENS, QUEENS — Police are warning drivers in Northeast Queens not to leave valuables in their cars after a series of break-ins at local parking lots.
There have been at least three car break-ins in the Alley Pond Park lot, near 76th Avenue, over the last three weekends, according to Captain John Hall of the NYPD's 111th Precinct.
The most recent break-in was Saturday, Aug. 17. They have been happening between noon and 2 p.m., Hall added.

Another car break-in happened in the John Golden Park lot in Bayside during the same timeframe Saturday.
Police say drivers visiting Alley Pond Park should park closer to the ball field.
